Sentinel sub-swath alignment issues in interferogram pairs
Added by Justin Brandt about 5 years ago
Hello again,
I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this issue, and possibly devised a solution for it. I seem to get a fair number of interferograms that have a phase offset at the sub-swath boundary of S1A interferograms. I've worked a fair number of projects where this has been a minor issue, but I've been about to avoid it using carefully selected image pairs.
However, my current project, a majority of the inerferograms I've produced so far show this offset to some degree. I suspect this may be due to how TOPS mode "sees" through variable atmospheric water vapor.
I attached a sample image. This image is a mosaic of 4 IW2 and 4 IW3 bursts on the west coast of California, USA.
Can this be corrected without complex modeling? I intend to treat each sub-swath separately if a solution can't be found.
Thank you,
Justin
